Cieraad, Irene

Irene Cieraad is a cultural anthropologist and Senior Researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment of Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. She is the editor of At Home: An Anthropol¬ogy of Domestic Space (2006, 2nd edition), and the author of a great number of articles on a wide variety of topics ranging from home, domestic space, the history of the Dutch interior, and the Swiss chalet, to gender issues of technology and architecture. For the readership of RADDAR the article “Bringing Nostalgia Home: Switzerland and the Swiss Chalet” (2018) is particularly interesting.
